Ervin Simmons, President

A native Daufuskie Islander, he currently resides in Savannah, Georgia.  Mr. Simmons is a graduate of the University of  California and is employed by View Point Health Care.  He has 20 years experience working with at-risk youth and continues the practice of the native family traditions of crabbing, hunting and boating.


Amelia Stevens, Vice President

A native Daufuskie Islander, she currently residens in Bluffton, South Carolina.  Ms. Stevens served our country as a soldier in the United States Army for several years.  She is currently employed as a Medical Field Office Assistant.  Her hobbies are listening to music, traveling and dancing.


Mary E. Simmons, Secretary

An educator for 39 years, Mrs. Simmons taught special needs children for 31 years.  She has served as an Advisor for the Special Olympics and retired in September, 2011.  Mrs. Simmons resides in Savannah, Gorgia.  She enjoys reading, traveling and tutoring


Joean Smith, Treasurer

A Native Daufuskie Islander, she currently esides in Beaufort, South Carolina.  Ms. Smith is employed by Publix Grocery stores as a Bookkeeper.  She enjoys sewing, dancing and shopping.


Henry Simmons, Board Member

A native Daufuskie Islander, he currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.  Mr. Simmons is the owner/operator of SImmons Trucking Company, Inc.  He enjoys the family traditions of fishing and hunting.  He also loves to travel.


Henrietta Wiley, Board Member

A native Daufuskie Islander, she currently resides in Beaufort, South CArolina.  Ms. Wiley is the owner/operator of Fresh Cuts Unlimited Barber Shop.  She enjoys traveling, listening to music and dancing.


Ella Mae Jenkins, Ex-Officio Member

A native Daufuskie Islander, she currently resides on Daufuskie Island.  Mrs. Jenkins is retired and continues in the native tradition of making Daufuskie Crab for residents and visitors.
